The Story So Far And The Plan For The Rest Of 2015

Hello! I am all too aware that I am a horrendous human being and that I have left you all for several weeks without any posts. I sincerely apologise for leaving you without any warning, and I assure you that I am trying my best to write reviews and posts at an acceptable rate.

So this post will be a summary of this year, and also my plans for the rest of the year. This year has been one of the best years for me ever, in the book world and in my real-life world. I have talked to and met so many authors, including but not limited to Amy Engel, Jennifer Niven, Claire Zorn, Laurie Halse Anderson, Melina Marchetta, Garth Nix, Cassie Clare and Holly Black (a post about meeting the last two will be coming shortly!).

Not only have I talked to/met the above authors, but I published my own book! If you weren't aware, my book, Hide And Seek, is available from most online retailers (Book Depository, Amazon, Book World, Barnes & Noble, etc). It is a young adult psychological thriller and mystery, and you can check it out further in my post about it here, or its goodreads page here. If you would like to read it, click the "to read" button on goodreads and that would just  make my day. If you are a reviewer, and would like a free copy in exchange for a review, let me know by sending me an email (all my details are in the "contact me" tab above, or at the bottom of the post) and I will get one to you :)

With the release of my book, I entered a free-fall of amazing opportunities. I've sold and signed books, spoken at schools for Book Week, been interviewed for newspapers and radio stations, had a book launch, and my personal favourite, signed books alongside Claire Zorn, the winner of the 2015 Children's Book Award.

All these reasons above, in addition to work and other commitments in my life, are the reason why I haven't been posting of late. But I'm back now, and I plan to be posting a lot more regularly...

In saying that, I have a busy next few months. October is a huge month of schoolwork for me, and so though I will try to be posting each week, if I'm not, that's why. After that, November rolls around, and in November, I am going to be participating in NaNoWriMo again. And while I will probably post updates and talk about my project, it is likely that I may miss a few weeks. If you would like to do NaNoWriMo and even friend me on the site, so we can encourage one another in our writing endeavors, let me know and we can totally do that!

And then we have December, which despite it being Christmas, I have much more free time, and I will definitely be posting every week. And this year, I will definitely be completeing the Christmas photoshoot I tried to last year (if you joined MWAA recently, or can't remember, refer to this post and the fact that I didn't actually get the book until mid January... grrrrr), but this year it will be even better, because I plan to buy more Christmas books to do it with. If you have any good Christmassy books, let me know in the comments or through my socials and I will for sure include them in the shoot!

So this was just a little update for you guys, so you know where I'm at and where MWAA will be going in the remainder of this year. If you want to keep up with me and know what I'm reading even when I'm not posting, friend me on goodreads, follow me on twitter, even like my facebook page. If you want to ask about my book, about my blog or just want to say hi, send me an email to mywordsarearrows@gmail.com :)

I hope you guys have an excellent week, and I'll see you on Sunday with a review!

Lily xoxo
